This year was all about refinement and fan art, which seems like an odd combo, but that’s how it worked out. I started making both simple and complex backgrounds much more standard in my art, and feel like this was when I locked in my target for visual style. I also started doing more fan art to try my hand at different styles, including drawing inspiration from (and drawing art of) cartoons, anime, and games.
After some starts and stops, this was also the year that I really got back to working on Terraform, which had been in a sort of dormant state for a few years after deciding I wanted to restart it outright after not being happy with the way the original version was turning out.
