2018 Portfolio

This was a big year for me artistically, with a lot of experimentation and trying out some new ideas. You can see some simple and complex backgrounds creeping in, as well as playing around with limited palettes and starting to add additional angles and more unique poses to pieces.

I also returned to using more halftones in my art (something that I didn’t do much in 2017). The biggest change, however, was switching programs. I previously used Manga Studio Debut, and in 2018 upgraded to its successor, Clip Studio EX, which offered a much smoother experience and provided me with a ton more tools.
