This being the Year of the Tiger, I had to do at least one more tiger-themed piece of art to kick off the year. Originally I went with a spicier “The Beach Episode” bikini design (below) for fun, but at some point had the thought of making a “Toonami / 4Kids” edit and added the jacket, which is a design I like a lot more and feels more fitting. I also ended up making two different versions of the “logo”, complete with a little tiger icon that I rather like – though I’m not entirely sure the hiragana / katakana is correct on the Japanese version (particularly mixing hiragana and katakana).
At any rate, I like the idea of inserting fake anime into other projects I’m working on, so this may not be the last you see of Taiga-chan. Here’s the alternate version:
